Our story: Cerebral palsy & aging

Welcome to Cerebral Palsy & Aging, a dedicated platform committed to fostering understanding, support, and education around cerebral palsy. Discover our journey, our mission, and how we're working to make a difference in the lives of individuals with CP and their communities.

Why we started Cerebral Palsy & Aging

Cerebral Palsy & Aging was born from a deep personal understanding and passion. Our main goal is to educate everyone, both those with and without cerebral palsy, about the condition and its impact through various life stages. We aim to provide accurate, accessible information and foster a community of support. We also hope to facilitate direct donations to impactful organizations that provide vital services and research for the CP community.

Our inclusive community

We believe that everyone has a role to play in understanding and supporting individuals with cerebral palsy. Our website is designed to reach and help everyone—adults with CP, their family members, medical professionals, researchers, and anyone interested in learning more. We strive to create an inclusive space where knowledge is shared, and connections are built, ensuring no one feels left out.

Our guiding principles: Positivity and advocacy

Our core belief at Cerebral Palsy & Aging is rooted in positivity and unwavering advocacy. Having lived with cerebral palsy my entire life, and experiencing the unique challenges that aging brings, I am committed to sharing a positive outlook. Our approach is unique because it comes from firsthand experience, allowing us to empathize deeply and advocate effectively. We champion organizations like Cerebral Palsy Positive and Up – The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement, and support initiatives like the CP Awareness Fundraiser, all dedicated to empowering and improving the lives of those with CP.

"Cerebral Palsy & Aging has been an invaluable resource, offering both education and a sense of belonging. Their dedication to a positive outlook truly makes a difference."
